DOCTOR IN COURT
JURY DISAGREES ON THREE CHARGES * VERDICT OF NOT GUILTY ON SIX OTHERS (P.A.) Auckland, Nov. 19. The trial, lasting a full fortnight, of George Brownlee Isdale, aged 51, medical practitioner, of Ngaruawahia, on eight charges of unlawfully using an instrument or other means with intent to procure abortion and one of conspiring to procure abortion, ended at. a late hour to-night, when the jury disagreed on three of the charges and found accused not guilty on the other six, including the one of conspiring.
The case was tried by Mr. Justice Callan. An application for a new trial on th" three counts on which the jury had disagreed was granted.
