RANGITIKEI NOMINATIONS
The Rangitikei Cup will be the main event on the programme to be submitted by the Rangitikei Racing Club at the spring meeting, to be held at Bulls on Saturday, December 4. The stake for the Cup will be £250, and the race will be over a mile an da-quarter. The J. F. McKelvie Memorial will replace the sprinters’ Clifton Handicap and will be run over seven furlongs, as will also the Ohakea and Farewell Hack Handicaps. The Parewanui Hack Cup has a stakp of £2OO, including a £25 trophy, anS there will also be trophies for the successful jockey and trainer in this event. A race for gentlemen riders, the Rangitikei Plate, will be the openin’g event, at 12.15 p.m. Nominations are due on Monday next. November 22, at 9 p.m., with the secretary, Mr. E. V. Wilson, Bulls.
