MARTON SALE

There was a good attendance at the Marton sale on Tuesday when a good offering of sheep, pigs sundries and a small yarding ot cattle came forward. The market was firm for all classes of stock and the N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op-erative Distributing Company Ltd., report a total clearance as follows: M.A. ewes in wool with good percentages of Romney lambs at foot, 19s 3d to 19s lOd all counted. Fat 4-tooth ewes shorn, 19s; fat shorn hoggets, 23s 3d; store ditto, 18s 6d; fat -b.f. hoggets in wool, 32s 3d; small ditto, 20s; 2nd. calver, £7 10s; fat cow, ex dairy, £4 19s; best yearling heifers, £5 to £5 2s 6d; medium sorts, £3 ss; best weaner pigs, 26s to 30s; others, 19s to 245; trailer, £18; riding saddle, £l2 10s. A large quantity of sundries realised satisfactory prices.
