PHYSICAL INSTRUCTOR FOR JAMAiCA

Recd. 6 p.m. Rugby, Oct. 1. The Colonial Office has selected an Aucklander, Miss Winsome Bach, as Jamaica’s first woman supervisor of physical training. She will prepare a comprehensive programme of physical training for all schools under the Jamaica Education Department and also will train school teachers and instructors. Miss Bach went to the Auckland Giris’ Grammar School, thence to the Teachers’ Training College and came to London in 1930. Later she obtained her diploma in the theory and practice of physical education.—B.O.W.
