Recd. 7 p.m. London, Sept. 30. Sergeant W. D; Reilly, of Auckland, writing on August 1, from Stalag 383 where there are a large number of New Zealand prisoners of war who have not volunteered for work, says: “The boys are all doing well. New Zealand won a Rugby match and a tug-o’-war, both heavy and lightweight boxing bouts, also wrestling championships. In our ‘Empire games,’ England was first, New Zealand second, Scotland third, Australia fourth, Wales fifth. The New Zealanders also defeated England at swimming.
