LIVESTOCK MARKETS

BULLS SALE Dalgety and Company, Limited (Inc. in England) report on the usual fortnightly sale held on Monday last when a go»d yarding of sheep and cattle, mainly yearling Jersey heifers and a medium yarding of store pigs were submitted to a good attendance cf buyers. A line of 180 ewes and 166 lambs realised 14s lOd. Fat sheep were in keen demand at prices fully firm on recent sales. Only a few’ head of fat cattle were yarded, realisations showing a further improvement on the previous sale. Buyers operated freely on the weaner Jersey heifers and an excellent sale resulted with a total clearance. The top heifers realised £6 Ils with several other lots selling from £4 5s to £5 16s. Dairy cows and heifers also sold readily at late rates. Store pigs sold to a good enquiry with values unchanged.
