TOP MAN AT FINGAL St. Thomas (Canada), Aug. 9. A young New Zealander, W. A. C. Simpson, from 62 Allardice Streec, Dannevirke, headed the class of wireless air gunners, making up course No. 58, who received their wings from Air Vice Marshal G. M. Croi!. C.8.E., A.F.C., inspector general of Canada, Monday afternoon. The school prize to the graduate attaining the highest marks was presented to the New Zealander. Several other airmen from Down Under were in the class. These included R. E. Bridzell, F. H. Brown, and N. P. Williams, from Auckland; F. M. Butler and P. O’Callaghan, from jßay of Plenty, New Zealand.
