MARTON. At the Marton Borough Council meeting on Wednesday the Mayor, Mr. F. Purnell, referred to the death of Mr. E. J. Wilde, who was a member of the council about 20 years ago. He had taken a prominent part in civic and parochial affairs, patriotic and sporting committees and any movement that was for the betterment of the borough. The council decided to forward a letter of sympathy to Mr. Wilde’s relatives.
