THE CIANO FAMILY

REPORTED ESCAPE Reed. 6 p.m. London, Aug. 29. Count Ciano, with the Countess and their three children, escaped from a house in Rome where they were guarded by eight secret police, says the German overseas radio, quoting Corriere della Sera. The Countess left the house yesterday morning, the radio said, and walked to the corner of the street, where she remained as though awaiting somebody. She afterwards returned to the house and later left with the children. The radio adds that it is clear that subsequently Count Ciano also left, it is believed in disguise.
