GERMAN DEMANDS FROM FRANCE
HALF A MILLION WORKERS Recd. 8.30 p.m. London, Aug. 29. The Times’ correspondent on the French frontier says that when Sauckel, on behalf of the Reich Government, early in August notified Laval that Germany required a further 500,000 French workers by the end of October, Laval summoned the plenary Cabinet, every member of which signed a memorandum stating that the demand was materially and i psychologically unexecutable.
