NORTH-SOUTH ARMY MATCH IN WELLINGTON (P.A.) Wellington, Aug. 29. North Island had a comfortable win by 26 to 9 over South in the interIsland match, played at Athletic Park yesterday in the presence of a crowd of 15,000. The winners were a much stronger side than that beaten by South Is)a - t fortnight ago. The find of tin :? was Paewai, as fiveeighth, w ; . /e a brilliant display. Johns (fui. ok), Smith (centre), Tindall (hall) and Coull (lock) all played pu to AU Black standard. Smith, Novak, Tindall and Dobson scored tries for North. Johns converted two. kicked two penalty goals and potted a field goal. Cochrane scored for South and Murdoch kicked two penalty goals.
