AID BY BRITISH
GREEKS AND YUGOSLAVS
Recd. 6 p.m. London, Aug. 27. It can now be revealed that Allied liaison officers, working with resistance groups in Yugoslavia and Greece, are wrecking great havoc and destruction among war factories and important cormmnioations, says the Press Association.
“Yugoslavs and Greeks who for n any months have undergone special training with our troops are then taken by’ secret routes to carry’ on the revolt in their own countries,” it says “Our own officers fight with them and help to plan local actions which are causing the enemy grave anxiety and discomfort. ‘The tremendous organisation which is required to keep the patriots and guerrillas fully armed with supplies must be carried out in the utmost secrecy. The Germans are at their wits’ end to discover how the constant stream of equipment and reinforcements arrives.”
