POLICE FUNERAL
LATE MR. J. R. WAINHOUSE. Several members of the Police Force in Wanganui attended the funeral on Saturday afternoon of Mr. John Robert Wainhouse, who died in .he Wanganui Hospital last week at vhe age of 80 years. He was formerly a constable and retired from the Gonville station in 1928. The Rev. A. C. McLean conducted a service at the Hospital Chapel, and also at the Aramoho Cemetery. The pall-bearers were Senior-Sergeant F. Culloty and Detective-Sergeant J. K. Robertson, Detective L. B. Vasta and Constables J. Willetts* (Aramoho), T. Johnson (Wanganui East) and J. Needham (Gonville). The Mayor, Hon. W. J. Rogers, was also present. Mr. T. Bourke (Aramoho), relired senior-sergeant, was at the graveside.
