PATEA Miss C. T. Bennie was farewelled by the staff of Gibson Stores Ltd. on the eve of her departure foi’ service in the armed forces. In making a presentation of a handbag and writing companion, Miss T. Gibson snoke of Miss Bennie’s sterling qualities and wished her every success and 'happiness and a safe return. WAVERLEY Miss Daphne Morrison is spending a week in Palmerston North. Mrs. H. Waiker, of Wanganui, is the guest ot her aunt, Mrs. W. N. Aiken. Mrs. D. Dallison and family are visiting Mrs. E. C. Dallison Mrs. Beer, Waipukurau. is the guest of her sister, Mrs. Jas Morrison. Miss Shirley Dallisjn is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. H. Dallison, Karori. Mrs. Painter, Hastings, is the guest of Mrs. G. Lupton.
