SERVICEMEN’S TEA AT Y.M.C.A.
The women of the Church of Christ (Mrs. Wilson, convener) were hostesses at the servicemen’s tea at the Wanganui Y.M.C.A. last night. The Rev. N. Williams and Pastor Fretwell were in attendance. A programme arranged by Mrs. David Strachan, was contributed to by Pastor of the /.ave family Misses M., 8., D.. G. and R. Cave were heard in several numbers. Instrumenal items were given by Miss G. Roose, and Mr. F. Britain (Wellington) played a piano solo. Mrs. M. J. Crawford played the accompaniments, and for the community singing which folio-wed.
