TO OPPOSE MINISTER OF TRANSPORT
(P.A.) Greymouth. Aug. 27. Mr. Frank Chivers, a Greymouth engineer, has been selected a« National Party candidate lor the Westland seat to oppose the Minister of Transport, Hon. J. O'Brien. Mr. Chivers, born in Taranaki 46 year* ago, served in the British Navy in the last war in North Sea operations and won the D.S.M.. and was mentioned in dispatches. He subsequently joined the the engineering staff of the Methodist Missionary Society in the Solomons.
