VISIT TO WELLINGTON

FULL-WEEK-END PROGRAMME I (P.A.) Wellington. Aug. 27. Mrs. Roosevelt, will arrive in Wellington by train at J 0.15 a.m. to-mor-row and Will proceed to Government House. A State reception in honour of Mrs. Roosevelt will be held at Parliament Buildings at 3.30 p.m. to-morrow. On Sunday Mrs. Roosevelt will visit 1 American hospitals, camps and canteens. At 8.15 p.m. she will speak to women on the part they piny in the war effort. This will probably be broadcast over the national network. At this meeting a sound film of Mrs. Roosevelt's tour in the devastated areas, typical of women's part, in the war effort, brought to New Zealand by Mrs. Roosevelt, will be shown. She will speak on this subject at the same time. This meeting will be for women only. ! On Monday Mrs. Roosevelt will in- ' spect other Amer.can hospitals, camps and canteens, also certain factories showing the part played by New Zealand women in th? war effort. There i will be civic receptions by the Mayor ! and city councillors late on Monday afternoon. [ Mrs. Roosevelt will leave Wellington on Monday night.
