U.S. THUNDERBOLTS
Recd. 7 p.m. Washington, June 26. The War Department reports that the battlefront performance of the F 47 Thunderbolt indicates that it outmatches the Focke Wulf 190, which is the best German plane of that class. The first detailed report of the Thunderbolt is based on two consecutive days’ action in France ■ the P47’s shot down four Focke Wulfs and damaged two.
