GERMAN RADIO ON TURKEY Recd. 6.15 p.m. London, March 18. The Berlin radio states: Feeling is developing in the larger Turkish cities I —tostered by an Anglo-American | whispering campaign and Jewish Levantine circles—that Turkey will soon abandon neutrality. There is an ever '-increasing number of British servicemen in Turkey who are proclaiming that Turkey will soon be fighting side by side with her AngloSaxon Allies. The radio added this is increasing the uneasiness in Turkey. Rumours of military activity in the Eastern Mediterranean confirm the impression that large scale war nerves are progressing against Turkey.

“We warmly grasp the hand extended to us by the British Government,” said the President of the Council of Ministers, Bay Sukru Saracoglu, addressing the Assembly, “The reaffirmation of British-Turkish friendship is not dictated by moments of emergencies, but is a vital need for both nations. We have got to know Mr. Winston Churchill more intimately’ following the Adina meeting, and to love him better. The Government will deny the Army nothing which will increase its fighting power. The Assembly unanimously carried a vote of confidence in the Government.
