CRICKET IN WANGANUI

TWO CENTURIES SCORED SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. Two centuries were scored in Wanganui senior cricket on Saturday. They were compiled by H. B. Cave (Wanganui) 109 not out. He hit 18 fours, and G. S. Nimmo (Technical Old Boys) 108 not out. He hit one six, two fives, and 15 fours. Matches resulted: Wanganui 221 for three wickets, beat Collegiate B 138. INTER-SCHOOL MATCH.

WIN FOR COLLEGIATE. One run was the margin by which the first eleven of the Wanganui Collegiate School beat the first eleven of the Wanganui Technical College in an all-day match on Saturday, played on the College ground. Batting first, Technical College was dismissed for 53, but made an improved showing in the second innings, scoring 126 to make a total of 179 runs. Collegiate School's first innings yielded 138 runs, and the second, four wickets for 43 a total of 181. Following are the detailed scores:—
