Recd. 9 p.m. Rugby, March 13. A United States Navy Department communique says: Two Japanese Dianes dropped bombs on United States positions on Guadalcanar on Thursday night. There were neither casualties nor damage.

Early on Friday Liberators made minor bombing attacks on Japanese positions at Balale. in the Shortland Island area, and Villa and Munda, New Georgia. From these and further attacks on Munda on Friday night one plane is missing.—B.O.W,
