• PETITIONS FOR DIVORCE TWO CASES DEFENDED Several petitions for divorce were dealt with by Mr. Justice Smith at the session of the Supreme Court. Wanganui, which concluded yesterday afternoon. All but two of the petitions were undefended. Divorce cases heard were:— Harry Douglas McGregor (Mr. H. G. Horsley) petitioned for restitution of conjugal rights, respondent being Amy Gladys McGregor.—A decree for restitution of conjugal rights within 14 days was granted. Reginald Green (Mr. C. F. Treadwell) petitioned for a divorce from Fanny Dorothy Green on grounds of a separation agreement.—A decree nisi was granted, to be moved absolute after three months. Interim custody of the younger child granted to petitioner. Elizabeth Honyman Gillespie Tait (Mr. R. Brown) petitioned for a divorce from Edward William Tait on grounds of desertion. —A decree nisi was granted, to be made absolute after three months. Albert Edward Robson (Mr. W. R. Brown) petitioned for a divorce from May Robson (Mr. E. B. Tustin) on grounds of a separation agreement.— A decree nisi was granted, to be moved absolute after three months.

Eileen E / abeth Swindells (Mr. C. F. Treadwell) v. John Swindells, motion for a decree absolute and custody.—A decree absolute and custody was granted.

Helen Margaret Breen (Mr. E. B. Tustin) v. John Breen.—A decree absolute and an order for custody was granted. Florence Ethel Cooksley (Mr. C. F. Treadwell) v. Daniel Cooksley.—A decree absolute was granted and an order for maintenance and custody was made as moved.

Myrtle Evangelist Coull (Mr. J. M. Hussey) v. John Coull. —A decree absolute was granted and an order made for custody as moved. r Annie Margaret Dauphin (Mr. C. H. Clinkard) petitioned for divorce 'from Henry Dauphin (Mr. J. A. Scott) on grounds of alleged desertion. After hearing evidence in the case, which was defended, His Honour dismissed the petition.

Claude Percy Mooney (Mr. H. G. Horsley) petitioned for a divorce from Thelma Myrtle Mooney (Mr. C. F. Treadwell) on grounds of an alleged verbal agreement for separation. The case was defended and after hearing evidence His Honour granted a decree nisi, to be moved absolute after three months. Interim custody of the child was granted to respondent. Kathleen Pearl Chamberlain (Mr. A. D. Brodie) v. Roy Sedcole Chamberlain (Mr. V. B. Willis).—A decree absolute and an order for custody, as moved, was granted. An order was also made for permanent maintenance.

Wanda Jane Martin (Mr. E. B. Tustin) petitioned for a divorce from Norman Vincent Martin, on grounds of adultery.—A decree nisi was granted, to be moved absolute after three months. Interim custody of the child was granted to petitioner. Alfred John Walters Hodder (Mr. E. B. Tustin) petitioned for a divorce from Beryl Isobel Hodder (Mr. C. F. Treadwell) on grounds of a separation agreement.— A decree nisi was granted, to be moved absolute after three months. Interim custody of the children was granted to respondent. Egbert John Black (Mr. V. B. Willis) petitioned for a divorce from Jean Melville Black (Mr. C. F. Treadwell) on grounds of a separation agreement.—A decree nisi was granted, to be moved absolute after three' months.

Eric Leevey (Mr. C. F. Treadwell) petitioned for a divorce from Grace Leevey on grounds of a verbal agreement to separate.—A decree nisi was granted, to be moved absolute after three months.

Martha Ann Plan (Mr. C.P. Brown) v. Kenneth Edward Plant.—A decree absolute was granted and an order was made for petitioner to have custody of the children. An order was also made for permanent maintenance.

Winifred Marie Gosney (Mr. C. P. Brown) v. Edward Oswald Gosney.— A decree absolute was granted and an order made for petitioner to have custody of the child. An order was also made for maintenance.
