Madame Chiang Kai-shek arrived from Hyde Park, where for several days she had been a guest at the Roosevelt home. The President and his wife personally welcomed Madame Chiang at the Union Station. Mrs. Roosevelt told a press conference that Madame Chiang Kai-shek will hold a joint press conference with the President during her White House visit, and she will address Congress on February 18.
