OPERA HOUSE

Two outstanding comedies are set down for screening at the Opera House to-day and week-end patrons are assured of one of the breeziest entertainments seen for years. The main feature is Century-Fox's madcap comedy, “Rings on Her Fingers,” and stars Gene Tierney, Henry Fonda and Spring Byington. This new picture has Gene Tierney rising from shop-girl to debutante in one fell swoop, when Spring Byington and Laird Cregar decide to use her as bait to trap a millionaire into parting with his cash. The “millionaire" turns out to be Fonda and they get away with all the money he has <n the world. This puts Gene on the spot since she has already fallen in love with him, and the balance of the picture keeps her worrying that he'll find out about her. In his turn. Hank Fonda gets in a gambling spree that is a key to the hilarity of the Ijim. As jackpot after jackpot comes through, Hank's discomfiture is even more complete. The associate feature, “We Go Fast," Is a new 20-Century-Fox comedy starring Lynn Bari is outstanding in her role as the exciting and happy life of men of the motor-cycle police squad. Lym Bari is outstanding in her role as the wise-cracking waitress who has two men trying to win her.
