MAJESTIC THEATRE

The swashbuckling swordsman of “Robin Hood,” the learless lighter of “The Sea Hawk," the dashing daredevil of “Sama le Trail"—Errol Flynn, now has his first modern adventure in three years in Warner Brothers' exciting comedy-mystery, "Footsteps in the Dark," which screens at the Majestic Theatre today. Errol plays the role of a mystery story writer who likes to get his material first hand. He gets it—and how! Being buffeted about by his wife on one side and his mother-in-law on the o i er, he finds that the least of his troubles is being accused of murdering a beautiful blonde. Lovely Brenda Marshall (the "Sea Hawk" girl friend) plays the role of Flynn’s wife and with the aid of her suspicious mother, played by Lucile Watson, succeeds in making a mountain out of a mystery. “Footsteps in the Dark” has one of the most brilliant casts of the present cinema season. Rounding out the cast headed by Flynn and Marshall are Ralph Bellamy, Alan Hale, Allen Jenkins and Grant Mitchell.
