INCREASED ALLOWANCES (P.A.) Wellington, Feb. 17. The rate of pay for men attending the medical examination for entry into the Army has. in accordance with the recent advance in home service rates of pay, been increased from 7s to 7s 6d for every day or nart of a day they are necessarily absent from their homes. Applicants for enlistment in the W.A.A.C. who attend for medical examinations are paid one day's pay at the rate of 5s for each day or part of a day on which they are required to attend for medical examination. They also received actual and reasonable travelling expenses up to 15s for the period of 24 hours.
