FINNISH PRESIDENT
RE-ELECTED VIRTUALLY UNANIMOUSLY U.S. AND FOREIGN POLICY (Recd. 7.50 p.m.) London, Feb. 15. Helsinki repbrts that President Rytl was re-elected virtually unanimously. On the eve of Finland’s Presidential election Russian planes raided Helsinki continuously from late last night until early this morning. Some of the bombs fell in the suburbs, says Berlin radio. (Recd. 8.10 p.m.) New York. Feb. 15. The New York Times’ Washington correspondent reports that Mr. Cordell Hull, commenting on the re-election of Ryti, President of Finland, said that America was more interested in Finland’s foreign policies than the identity of its leaders. This is interpreted to mean that the future of AmericanFinnish relations, which are at present strained, depends on the course Ryt: takes after the election, especially whether he drops or retains his proGerman Foreign Minister Witting.
