PRICES SLIGHTLY LOWER Yesterday was prompt date for the wool appraisal held in Wanganui on January 25. Prices are slightly lower than those for the previous sale held in Wanganui in December, the average price a bale being £2O 14s 9d, compared with £2l 6s 3d a bale at the previous sale. The average price per lb. was 13.349 d, against 13.673 d at the December fixture. From the appraisal 30,395 bales were disposed of, yielding gross proceeds of £634,484 15s 6d, compared with 27,099 bales, yielding £577,591 Ils Id from the previous appraisal.
