SENSATIONAL DIVIDEND AT ELLERSLIE INDIAN PRINCESS WINS G.N. DERBY (P.A.) Auckland, Jan. 1. A sensational dividend of over four centuries was featured when Billy Peach won the Ellerslie Handicap at the Auckland Racing Club’s meeting to-day. The weather was fine and there was a large attendance. The track was good and the totalisator handled £185,660, a fresh record, compared with £88,084 10s last New Year's Day. The total for the two days was £371,197 10s, against £187,078 10s, an increase of £187,119.
