QUISLING MINISTER“DISAPPEARS”
(Recd. 6.30 p.m.) London, Dec. 31. Several Stockholm newspapers declare that either Russian guerrillas or the Gestapo killed Quisling’s Police Minister, Jonas Lie, who left Oslo on September 7 as the leader of a unit of Quisling police volunteers for duty behind the Axis front in Russia. Nothing has been heard of him since he graded at the head of his unit in Riga about six weeks ago, although the Quisling press has been playing up its “heroes” on the eastern front. | One report suggests that the Gesi tapo murdered Lie because he was I working against the interests of the I German oolice.
