ITALY’S CLAIMS ON FRENCH TERRITORY
(Recd. 7.30 p.m.) London, Dec. 31. According to the Berlin correspondent of the Stockholm newspaper Tidningen, a Wilhelmstrasse spokesjman stated that Italian claims on French territory had “been realised.” The correspondent adds that this is taken to mean that Germany confirmed the Italian annexation of Corsica, Nice and Savoy, probably as a result of the meeting between Hitler, Ciano and Laval.
