ENEMY SUPPLY SHIPS
ATTACKED BY SUBMARINES Rugby, Dec. 29. The Admiralty states that a British submarine attacked and sank a small enemy supply ship laden with petrol in the Gulf of Hammamet, off Tunisia. Later, the same submarine attacked a small tanker, which was beached. Both enemy vessels were south-bound. A third small enemy supply ship was also attacked and sunk in the same area. A submarine attacked and probably sank a north-bound laden supply ship near Naples.—B.O.W.
