“Those Hoarders” Truth is stranger than fiction. A Central Hawke’s Bay retailer relates that a woman, who. to judge from the plenitude of parcels in her basket, was bent on obtaining the maximum for the money she had to spend, came into the shop and asked if she could obtain that raritv of rarities, a writing pad. On being told she might have one. she replied: “Can you let me have three or four before the hoarders get their hands on them!”
