CASE FOR COSTS ONLY
Charged in the Magistrate’s Court, Wanganui, yesterday, with employing a person to drive a motor-car in Ridgway Street on August 14, sucn person not being the holder of a driver’s licence, James Henry Field was convicted by Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M., and ordered to pay costs, 12s. The police stated that defendant asked his son to drive the car from Ridgway Street to Victoria Avenue, but the son did not have a licence to drive. The car was stopped by a constable because the headlights were not properly adjusted. The magistrate commented that as this matter had already come before the Children's Court it was a case for costs only.
