i Supporting the Wanganui Education 1 Board, which considered that films were largely responsible for delini quency in children, and that an edui cational officer should be on the Board ; of Censors, the Wellington Education i Board this week advocated the need for a stricter censorship, and that theatre proprietors should be made i legally responsible that children were not present during the screening of films for adults. The fact that some films were recommended for adults merely made children curious, said Mr. C. H. Nicholls. Many of these films gave children wrong impressions. There was a weakness in a system that permitted films suitable only for adults being shown at matinees, said ' the chairman, Mr. W. V. Dyer.
