CENTENARY APPROACHES SPECIAL SERVICES FOR 98th. “BIRTHDAY’’ To celebrate the 98th birthday of the Anglican parish of Christ Church ■ special services will be heln en Sunday next (Whit Sunday). At 8 a.m. members of parish organ- < isations are requested to make their corporate Communion. The 11 a.m. service will be especially for young people and will take the form of Matins and thanksgiving. At night ; there will be festal evensong. Because of the present circum- i stances the annual parish breakfast 1 will not be held this year. The vestry is inviting parishioners to ’ mark next Sunday as the day for turn- i ing the present debt of the parish into : a credit balance. In the present issue ; of The Sower (the parish magazine) < enevelopes have been enclosed for ■ birthday gifts to the Church and already some encouiaging amounts have ; been received by the church officers.
