OBITUARY
MRS. F. W. MANNING. At the age of 95 years, the death has occurred at Waiterimu, of Mrs. Annie Matilda Manning, one of New Zealand’s early pioneers, Mrs. Manning was born in Ireland and came to New Zealand with her parents 82 years ago, in the ship Commodore Perry. In 1868 she married Mr. F. W. Manning. She is survived by two sons, four daughters, 23 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. One son died in the Boer War. MR. F. E. HUMPHRYS. The death has occurred at his resi-| dence, Te Puna, Tauranga, of Mr. Francis Edward Humphrys, aged 76,| one of the district’s oldest settlers..
