ANNUAL MEETING AT TAIHAPE. Congregations had increased and the financial position was sound, the year concluding with a good credit balance, reported the vicar, Rev. W. M. Smallfield, at the annual meeting of parishioners of the Taihape Parish. Splendid progress had been made during the year, the vicarage having been repaired and painted at a cost of £l3B. St. George’s Church, Mataroa, was being repaired and would be painted in due course. Mr. Vivian Smith was elected as synod-man. The vicar congratulated Mr. A. R. Loader, a lay-reader, on securing a commission in the Royal Air Force. I Two lay-readers were now serving with the colours.
