EDUCATION BOARD APPOINTMENTS AUTHORISED The appointment of Mr. T. G. McCullough, as headmaster of the Ohakune District High School, and Mr. D. T. Kelly to a similar position at the Manunui School, were among the teaching appointments confirmed at the monthly meeting of the Wanganui Education Board yesterday. Other appointments were:—Mr. Ronald J. Fisher, sole teacher, Marohema; Mr. R. L. Masters, sole teacher, Owhakura; Miss Olive Takle. infar.t mistress, Manunui; Miss M. H. Catherwood. assistant mistress. Gonville (hospital class); Miss M. O’Leary, additional assistant, Ohakune D.H.; Miss K. M. Holst, assistant mistress, Ohingaiti; Miss E. E. Carson, assistant mistress, Rangiotu; Miss K. M. Prendergast, assistant mistress, Rongotea; Miss E. J. Walker, assistant mistress. Whenuakura. The following war appointments were also made:—Miss O. McKeany, sole teacher, Hihitahi; Mrs. M. F. Stevens, sole teacher, Hiwinui; Miss L. N. Spence, sole teacher, Maungaroa Road; Mrs. E. T. J. LeGal, sole teacher, Pukawa; Miss L. A. Marshall, sole teacher. Waitahinga; Mr. E. G. Sutherland, sec. assistant master. Raurimu D.H.; Mr. G. S. Carswell, assistant master, Hunterville Consolidated; Mr. C. G. Annear, assistant master, Hunterville Consolidated; Mrs. J. A. Sims assistant mistress, Raetihi; Mrs. M. Manning, assistant mistress, West End; Mr. A. Ramage, woodwork instructor, Palmerston North Intermediate. The following resignations of teachers were received:—Mr. Keith M. White, assistant master, Palmerston North Intermediate; Mr. F. A. Graham, assistant master. Hokowhitu; Miss S. G. Barron, sole teacher, Pohonui; Mrs. E. M. Anderson, senior assistant mistress, Lytton Street; Miss P. Hobbs, member of relievin'* staff; Miss BT. J. Radcliffe, member of reliving staff; Miss K. P. Shannon, member of relieving staff; Mrs. M. D. Haggo. head teacher. Piriaka; Miss N. M. Fahey, sole teacher. Ruanui. The following teachers have been appointed to other positions in the board’s service:—Mr. C. B. Lewis, headmaster. Maxwell; Mr. D. T. Kelly, senior secondary assistant, Taiha-e D.H.; Miss M. H. Catherwood, assistant mistress, Kai Iwi; Miss E. J. Walker, relieving staff; Miss K. M. Holst, relieving staff.
