UNITED NATIONS
ECONOMIC DEFENCE BOARD POSSIBLE NEW PLAN. Rugby, May 18. A Washington message states that high United States Government officials are studying a plan to create an overall United Nations economic defence board, first to mobilise the resources of ail the United Nations; secondly, to reinforce the decisions of the Supreme Military Command; and, thirdly, to decide questions as to whether to use factories in the United States and ship finished products, or to build new plants abroad in order to avoid a shipping bottle-neck.—B.O.W.
