d CONE AND BOTTLE DRIVE e (0.C.) Marton. May 19. ” The Marton Scouts are making the a most of the school holidays by earning money for the Troop. Apart from the “Tin Drive” last week, several 0 of the boys have been collecting pine -J* cones and have found a very ready J 1 market for them. At present they are I besieged with orders and ar<* having a hard time keeping up with the demand. However, with the holidays drawing to a close there will be more j Scouts available to gather the cones, II and consequently they will be able to , supply further orders. ° As the final major effort for the ' present, the Scouts have organised a “Bottle Drive,” commencing on Wedn nesday and lasting two or three days. a During this time it is hoped to be able to cover the whole of the town. The Scouts are confident that the appeal will be highly successful. Resii dents are advised to give bottles only ■ " to Scouts in uniform, who will be the ! * only official collectors.
