AIR-RAID WARNING
SOUNDED AT CALCUTTA Rugby. May 16 An air-raid warning was sounded in Calcutta during the visit of the Viceroy to the city this week. The warning, however, did not herald a Japanese raid, but was nart of a programme in which Lord Linlithgow inspected air raid precautions, which he found to be perfect. Everywhere he found people on their toes and eager to give a good account of themselves should the enemy attack. The Viceroy also \ isited Madras and Vizigapatan.—B.O.W.
