TAKEN BY N.Z. FLIGHT SERGEANT (Special Correspondent N.Z.P.A.) London, May 16. Flight-Sergeant A. R. Robson (Hastings), a member of the New Zealand Fighter Squadron, took one of the best films of aerial combats of the war when he recently shot down a FockeWulf 190. Part of it is being shown in a newsreel, while Air Marshal Sir Sholto Douglas, air officer commanding the Fighter Squadron, comments on recent fighter sweeps. Robson attacked the Focke-Wulf over France. He saw' the enemy’s helmet and also his cockpit hood blown off. Robson used up his ammunition and then returned and took the film. He claimed a "probable,’' but it was subsequently proved that the Focke-Wulf was destroyed, and Robson was credited with a victory. The film shows one of the FockeWulf's wheels dangling, while the other is still drawn up. Flying-Officers L. S. Black and R. Webb (Levin). G. Barnett (Wellington). and D. J. B. Henry (Invercargill) have joined the souadron after a period as instructors. • Sir Courtauld Thomson has issued a standing invitation to’the squadron to snend leave at his countrv home. Dorney Wood.
