The War Department has appointed • Miss Dorothy Shaver, vice-president of I Lord and Taylor, New York, as gen,s. eral merchandise consultant to the ce office of the Quartermaster-General, u- Miss Shaver will superintend the field in of women's clothing, including the designing of uniforms for the W.A.A.C. n- Aides explain that the W.A.A.C. will ry receive the same pay as army personto nel; therefore, it is necessary to keep It down the high cost of feminine apit- parel. including hose and lingerie. Portion of Miss Shaver’s task will be the design and perfecting of standardised clothing for women.
