CRIPPLED WIDOW’S DEATH
I EXTENSIVE BURNS PROVE FATAL < (P.A.) Whangarei, May 14. | Extensive burns on the face, neck, : body and arms were suffered to-day by Mrs. Josephine Kershaw, 72, widow, in Pipiwai, and she died soon afterwards. Deceased, who has been a cripple for 19 years, was given a cigarette by her daughter, who then went to the milking shed. Returning she found the room filled with smoke and her mother seriously burnt.
