ANNUAL REUNION DINNER TO.CJ Taihape, May 1» 'me annual reunion dinner of the Taihape and District U.S.A was held in the Town Hall last week, about 15l being in attendance. There was a large number of returned men from ’noth the First and Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force present Colonel G. C. Pow’les. C.M.G.. D.S.O. was unable to be present and his representative was Major White. Before reviewing the activities of the year the president. Mi. C. Newport. welcomed the visitors and then asked all to stand in silence as a tribute to fallen comrades while the "Last Post" and “Reveille” were sounded. After dinner a community sing and a concert programme were enjoyed.
