Messrs. F. Birch and S. R. Story were elected vice-presidents at t.u annual meeting of the Wanganu Commercial Club this week. Mr. S. Brooking was elected president of the vva..ganui Commercial Club at the thirty-eighth annual meeting this week. Mr. J. Robertson, a member of the Wanganui Hosp.tai Board, was granted leave oi absence from the monthly meeting yesterday because o. illness. Board members expressed the hope that he would soon recover, and a vote of sympathy was carried. Mr. L. V. Kerby, managing-secre-tary of the Wanganui Hospital board, was congratulated by the chairman. Mr. W. E. Brodericn (Maxwell), at the monthly meeting yesterday, on having Completed 2o years' service in that position. The chairman said Mr. Kerby had served the board faithfully and well, and to the best ol his ability. "The Hospital Board has always come first, and our associations with him have always been happ v the chairman added.
