PROVISIONAL ESTIMATES Provisional capital estimates allowing for an •*: -nditure of £93,833 during tin- next financial year were before th • Wanganui Hospital Board at its monthh meeting yesterday. Estimated 1 maintenance costs have yet to be framed. .After submission to thi Department of Health for approval the estimates will be confirmed at the board’s April meeting. The estimates provide for new loan.lot £34.000 for the Wanganui Hospital. £30,000 for the new Jubilee Home. ' Aramoho. £15.350*f0r additions io the j Raetihi Hospital, and £l6OO for the I Taihape Hospital. New works in the boards district are estimated to cost £3165. Proposed expenditure at the Wanganui Hospital includes £15.000 lor additions to the Nurses’ Home. £6OOO for sanitary annexes £3500 for the out-patients' department, £lOOO for a swimming pool. £l6OO for additions to the X-ray department, and £lO.OOO for the laundry anil workshops. ' Total loan expenditure for the i coming vear is cxpec ed to reach I £82.860. i The capita] levy on local_ authorities i is estimated to produce £5137, which \ will be doubled with the Government
