JAPAN AND VATICAN
REPRESENTATION ISSUE London, March 17. A message from Zurich quotes a Rome report that the Vatican has decided to accept a Japanese representative. Rome radio stated earlier that the pourparlers between the Japanese and the Vatican regarding diplomatic representation at the Vatican had reached a decisive stage. Mr. Matsuoka, who is a Catholic, is a probable candidate 'for the post.
