QUOTA OF GIFT PARCELS
MORE VI ANTED IN WANGANUI Notification that, lhe quota of 1000 gift parcels for the Armed Forces, allocated to the Wanganui-Waitotaia Patriotic Zone, was not now required in Wellington till the end of April, instead of to-day, has been received in Wanganui. Up to the present, it is staled, only 20 per cent, of the quota required is on hand at the depot located at the City Council office, but it is expected that the extension of time will allow the full quota to be donated within the specified period. The approximate cost of a gift parcel is Bs, and cash donations will also be welcome. It. is also stated in official quarters that the Wanganui-Waitotara Zone has earned a reputation for raising successive quotas of gift parcels, and that on no occasion has it been necessary to arrange functions to provide funds.
